Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy Prenatal and Postpartum Physical Therapy
Women's Physical Therapy Services

As a woman, our bodies go through many changes. From adolescent development, pregnancy, menopause, and everything in between – we are constantly evolving to live healthy and fruitful lives!

During the fertile years, women have specific health needs that should be prioritized, many of those focused around the health and function of the pelvic floor.  Physical therapy helps women to function, move, and live without many of the pains pregnancy and childbirth can bring.

Our team of Catholic Physical Therapists can address a number of conditions related to prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum recovery, to include:

  • Incontinence (bladder leakage, overactive bladder, high frequency of urination)
  • Diastasis Recti Separation (abdominal muscle weakness)
  • Prolapse Symptoms (heaviness/weakness) in pelvic floor
  • Post C-section recovery (for mobility and pain surrounding incision)
  • Pelvic floor muscle tension disorders (pain/tightness in pelvic floor)
  • Care for pelvic floor tearing or episiotomy scar tissue
  • Coccygeal pain (tailbone pain-typically following a fall or childbirth)
  • Bowel disorders (constipation or lack of control over bowels)
  • Vaginismus (pain or discomfort with vaginal penetration)
  • Pudendal Neuralgia (pain, discomfort, or numbness in your pelvis or genitals)
  • Postural Pain (neck and low back pain commonly related to feeding, bathing, carrying, and leaning over)

While these issues are common, they are not normal to have. These conditions are treatable through a detailed assessment, patient education, and clear exercise instruction, all prescribed from a physical therapist that upholds the dignity and beauty of the woman Christ has made you to be.

Preparing for birth, healing between births, or getting ahead of symptoms before they become a long-term problem is imperative. Our team of physical therapists are here to serve you through our Christ centered, Catholic telehealth services.
