About Dr. Donaldson

Dr. Donaldson is a Board-Certified Neurologic Specialist in Physical Therapy. She has a passion for life and faith founded in her relationship with Jesus Christ which has fueled her pioneering spirit to achieve many firsts in places she never dreamed she would be called. She was among the first to graduate with the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Creighton University in 1997. As part of her training, she was the first to receive a 3-month clinical affiliation in Vestibular Rehabilitation at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Upon graduation with her DPT, she received her first academic appointment as Assistant Professor at University of Mobile Graduate School of Physical Therapy where she taught fulltime and carried out her clinical practice in Neurological, Vestibular and Aquatic Physical Therapy.

Her service led her back to her hometown of Phoenix, Arizona where she worked at Barrow Neurological Institute for 13 years, during which time she treated patients with many complex Neurological disorders including Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, Brain Tumors, and of course Vestibular and Balance disorders. She pursued Certifications of Competency, including Advanced Competency, in Vestibular Rehabilitation through University of Miami Medical School and Emory School of Medicine. With this training, she developed the Vestibular Physical Therapy program in Outpatient Neurological Rehabilitation. She pursued specialty training in the treatment of Facial Paralysis. Dr. Donaldson held academic appointments in Doctoral programs directing 12 credits of Neurological Rehabilitation both in Los Angeles and Metropolitan Phoenix, developing service-learning programs both locally and internationally in Ecuador.

Dr. Donaldson considers it a sacred privilege to be allowed into the care of a person’s health, with Jesus as the Healer. She reverences the Theology of the Body and remains in awe of how we are “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Ps 139:14) even just when considering the very tiny, yet highly organized Vestibular System. She loves sharing with her patients about this Design as a part of their own recovery toward achieving their best life goals. Her love for sharing her faith includes many previous years in international teen ministry, international medical missions, and co-founding a Catholic Women’s Conference based on the writings of St. John Paul II, Mulieris Dignitatem and Novo Millennio Ineunte.
