About

Thao Lai is a Family Nurse Practitioner, wife, and mother of two living children. Thao is also trained in the Creighton Fertility Care Model and NaproTechnology to offer Pro-life Medicine as an alternative for Contraceptions and Artificial Reproductive Technology. She is passionate about helping young women to identify hormonal issues and ovulation defects early; therefore, they can be consulted for early NaproTechnology surgical intervention if needed. This will tremendously improve their reproductive health overall and take care of their fertility issue at its root. Due to her own experience with infertility and miscarriages, Thao wants to offer healing and hope for women who are on the same journey.

Thao is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She has been in health care for 20 years, with 10 years as a Nurse Practitioner rounding in the hospital. She also completed her 13-month training as a Creighton Fertility Care Practitioner and NaProTechnology Medical Consultant at St. Paul VI Institute. She is eager to educate women about their reproductive health and has helped many women to successfully get off hormonal birth control methods.

California

Natural family planning should be covered pre-deductible and without co-pay in accordance with the Affordable Care Act, equal to birth control coverage, as long as you see a MyCatholicDoctor medical provider that is in network with your insurance and get a referral to a MyCatholicDoctor NFP instructor. Your insurance plan may also require you to obtain a PCP referral. Unfortunately, many insurance carriers inappropriately apply co-pay and deductible for NFP, and inappropriately deny claims. MyCatholicDoctor is fighting this at many levels. If you are billed a co-pay or deductible, or your claim is denied, please contact your insurance company.
Self-Pay Discounted Rates are available at this time. Service may be eligible for HSA reimbursement when deemed medically necessary by your PCP
