About Sandy

Sandy Russell is a Clinical Nutritionist and licensed as a Certified Dietician-Nutritionist (CDN) in CT with a Masters degree in functional Human Nutrition. She also earned an earlier certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from eCornell and the Center for Nutrition Studies. Sandy is completing her requirements to gain an additional certification as a board-certified Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) through the American Nutrition Association (ANA). Sandy is passionate about helping adults achieve their health and lifestyle objectives through nutrition and lifestyle changes, understanding that many diseases are not only manageable, but also preventable and reversible. Many conditions are interrelated because our body was designed to work as a whole (beautiful and complex) system. She takes a whole-body functional nutrition approach that starts with a 90-minute comprehensive nutritional assessment, leading to the creation of a personalized nutrition and lifestyle plan which she monitors together with her clients. This consultation may provide needed nutrition education, target specific health needs, and provide personalized dietary and nutritional’s recommendations, lifestyle modifications and/or coaching about lifestyle changes. There is no one approach to diet or lifestyle changes as we are all uniquely individual. By addressing small incremental changes in your current nutrition and lifestyle, we are able to make impactful improvements in your health!
