Mia Perez sees children, teens, adults, couples, and families, specializing in anxiety, OCD, and trauma.
Mia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida. She uses evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), EMDR, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)/parts work. She also offers Catholic faith-based counseling for clients who wish to integrate their faith into treatment.
Mia earned her Master of Social Work with a concentration in advanced clinical practice from Saint Leo University in 2023 and holds a bachelor’s degree in clinical/counseling psychology with a minor in art. Before entering private practice, she worked at Saint Leo University as the Assistant Director of Accessibility Services, supporting students with disabilities. She also led the Autism Connect program, providing individualized mentorship and advocacy for students on the autism spectrum.
Mia believes the therapeutic relationship is an important part of healing and strives to create a warm, safe, and trusting environment. She works collaboratively with clients to process difficult experiences, build coping skills, retrain the nervous system, and create meaningful change in their lives. Her goal is to help clients feel more present and in control while moving toward the person they were created to be.
Outside of her work as a therapist, Mia enjoys playing tennis, practicing Italian, watching movies, painting, music, and spending time with family and friends. As a painter and musician, she values creativity and artistic expression and believes they can also be meaningful tools for healing.
