Melissa is a Nurse-Midwife serving adolescent and adult women for women's health concerns, providing a Restorative Reproductive Medicine (RRM) approach to treatment. She has completed Creighton FertilityCare training as well as medical management training with FEMM and a RRM fellowship.

About
Melissa is a Certified Nurse Midwife, wife and mother of eight children. She graduated from Frontier Nursing University in 1999 with a certification in Midwifery and from Case Western Reserve University with a Master’s in Nursing in 2002. In 2015 she completed training in the Creighton Model of FertilityCare which led to her expanding her practice to include Restorative Reproductive Women’s Healthcare. After completing medical management training with FEMM in 2019 she continued her education with a fellowship in Restorative Reproductive Medicine with RHM Gynecology/ Dr Nicholas Kongoasa of Atlanta.
Melissa is currently the primary midwife with Southern Illinois Midwifery and volunteers to provide free OB ultrasounds and abortion pill reversal with Aid For Women Clinic in Carbondale, IL.
Melissa is passionate about providing an integrative, cooperative approach to all things pregnancy and women’s healthcare by combining nutrition, exercise, supplements and medical treatments to individualize a complete care package for each unique woman she serves.
In her “spare” time, Melissa enjoys playing tennis, making sourdough and collecting plant babies. She loves traveling and hiking with her family and loving on her new granddaughter!!
