Maisie MacIsaac, BSN, RN, MMCP

Maisie’s speciality is helping women understand cycle basics, track their symptoms, interpret their data, and navigate pregnancy achievement or avoidance. She incorporates nutrition and wellness education, which patients find particularly helpful for irregular cycles, pre-conception, post-birth control, and postpartum/breastfeeding.

Maisie wants to hear your story. She puts her patients at ease with her easy manner, careful listening, her gift for noticing patterns and connecting the dots. Having been through painful experiences with her own health, she is dedicated to providing practical advice and lifestyle guidance.

After learning three natural family planning methods, she chose to become a Marquette instructor because she was drawn to how this innovative, objective method simplifies cycle tracking and makes NFP easier for busy parents.

She teaches women how to incorporate Marquette’s modern, at-home technology into their hormone tracking, incorporating tools such as LH tests, Clearblue, Mira, and charting apps.

A registered nurse, Maisie holds a bachelor’s degree from Regis University’s College of Nursing. Her career spans pediatric surgery and hematology/oncology care, along with post-surgical adult rehabilitation. She is currently pursuing functional medicine training to provide deeper levels of healing for the whole person.

Maisie, her husband, and four children make their home in Scottsdale, Arizona. On weekends, you can find them piling in the car for a desert mountain hike or sitting around the kitchen table learning a new board game and enjoying a slice of her homemade sourdough.

Natural family planning should be covered pre-deductible and without co-pay in accordance with the Affordable Care Act, equal to birth control coverage, as long as you see a MyCatholicDoctor medical provider that is in network with your insurance and get a referral to a MyCatholicDoctor NFP instructor. Your insurance plan may also require you to obtain a PCP referral. Unfortunately, many insurance carriers inappropriately apply co-pay and deductible for NFP, and inappropriately deny claims. MyCatholicDoctor is fighting this at many levels. If you are billed a co-pay or deductible, or your claim is denied, please contact your insurance company.
