Laura Ducote, FNP-C

Laura is a wife, mother of four beautiful children on earth, and Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a native of TN and, after moving to AL for her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Samford University, she now calls AL home. During nursing school, she felt a call to learn more about natural family planning in order teach women and couples the truth about the woman’s cycle and gift of the couple’s fertility. From this call, she decided to pursue a Family Nurse Practitioner degree and additional training as a Creighton model FertilityCare Practitioner, Naprotechnology Medical Consultant, & FEMM Medical Provider.

Her nursing career includes 5 years in the Cardiac ICU and initial Family NP work in urgent cares seeing a variety of illness from acute to chronic disease. Since completing the additional training in women’s health, she has now been serving as Nurse Practitioner and Natural Family Planning provider for over a decade, reviewing hundreds of NFP charts in the process.

She was blessed to be part of the process to open the first Restorative Reproductive Medicine (RRM) practice in Alabama. During her time there, she served a preceptor for multiple mid-level providers during their RRM Fellowship, Nurse Practitioner students and FACTS medical students. She is very passionate about providing education on all topics of women’s healthcare and practicing medicine that integrates body and soul, inviting the Divine Physician into every step of the process.

When not working, she teaches a preschool ballet class at her daughter’s Catholic school and delights in all the joys of being a wife and mother of young children, dancing, singing, and playing outdoors. She welcomes any time in adoration with Jesus or a coffee shop with a friend or journal. She is active in her local parish & enjoys speaking about NFP and/or women’s health with her husband at various events.
