About Dr. Barrows

Dr. Barrows is a board-certified family medicine physician with 25 years of experience treating all ages and stages of life. She currently sees female patients from teenage years to menopause for cycle and reproductive issues such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and insulin resistance, endometriosis, recurrent miscarriage, poor ovulation, PMS, postpartum depression, and irregular or heavy cycles. She is frequently sought out for treatment of recurrent miscarriage and infertility, and by women seeking to optimize their natural cycle. She is a popular speaker on topics related to the female reproductive system, NaPro Technology and restorative reproductive medicine.

Dr. Barrows earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio (University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences) in 1999, and her residency in family medicine at The Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia, in 2002. She has lived in many different states as a military wife, enabling her to practice in diverse settings including pediatrics, urgent care, family medicine, and women’s health. In 2013, she completed the medical consultant training for NaPro Technology at Saint Paul VI Institute for the Study of Human Reproduction. She started a busy women’s health practice featuring NaPro Technology. Dr. Barrows is proficient in interpreting many forms of natural family planning, including Creighton model, Marquette, Symptothermal and other methods.

Dr. Barrows and her husband have 5 children and they live near Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Barrows volunteers in the community at a pregnancy care center. She also enjoys singing with a choral ensemble called Gaudete.
