About

Dr. Succar is a primary care physician, board-certified in Preventive Medicine. He is also certified in Functional Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. During his surgical residency, his father passed away from preventable heart disease. This impelled him to switch his training from surgery to preventive medicine, especially after realizing that a significant portion of chronic illnesses are preventable. He manages typical acute and chronic conditions seen in the primary care setting and, when applicable, addresses the root causes of illnesses instead of simply controlling symptoms.

Born and raised in Lebanon, he earned his MD from the American University of Beirut, then conducted and published research at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston while teaching at Harvard Medical School and Harvard FAS—winning multiple teaching awards.

He completed a Master of Science in Clinical Research during his residency; this background, along with his extensive research experience, allows him to leverage his expertise to vet scientific literature and provide the best evidence-based care. He recognizes that every person is unique and develops a personalized treatment plan tailored to each patient and their preferences.

He is Maronite Catholic, a husband, and a father. He is fluent in English, Arabic, and French.
