About Dr. Montagnino

Dr. Denise Montagnino is a wife and mother of six active and fun-loving children. She currently holds a position serving pregnant women who are healing from substance use disorder in a residential recovery program. Additionally, she covers labor and delivery as an OB Hospitalist on a part-time basis.

Dr. Montagnino is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She attended Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in South Florida for medical schooling. She then completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

After completing her medical training, she joined a private practice in Washington state for 5 years and then transitioned to academic practice at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. During her time in academic practice, she gained experience treating vulvovaginal disorders.

With an abundance of professional and personal obstetrical experiences, Dr. Montagnino seeks to care for women during the delicate fourth trimester, also known as postpartum. She also has a special interest in supporting women following pregnancy termination or loss.

Dr. Montagnino is particularly interested in the intersection of faith and medicine. The Church’s teachings are foundational in her medical decisions and she seeks to share the beauty of the faith with her patients.

Each woman experiences different challenges during the many stages of womanhood. Dr. Montagnino’s professional fulfillment is rooted in sharing the joys and vulnerabilities of her patients along life’s journey.

Ultimately, Dr. Montagnino’s goal is to assist women and young women to recognize they are wonderfully made.

“I praise you, because I am wonderfully made.” (Psalm 139: 14)
