Danielle (Dee) Simone is a licensed professional counselor who holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Immaculata University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville. Following nearly a decade of work in non-profit ministry, she returned to graduate study to pursue clinical counseling, bringing with her a deep understanding of the integration between faith and mental health.
Dee has extensive experience working with adults and adolescents on a wide range of concerns, including trauma, grief and loss, depressive disorders, family dysfunction, and identity-related questions. She provides specialized support to individuals navigating questions of sexuality and gender, offering compassionate care that honors their desire to live faithfully within the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Her clinical work is grounded in evidence-based practices, with specialized training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which inform her trauma-focused approach to care.
Rooted in a Catholic understanding of the human person, Dee is committed to providing a compassionate, respectful, and faithful therapeutic space. She approaches each client with the spirit of accompaniment, inspired by Pope Francis’ words: “remove your sandals before the sacred ground of the other” (The Joy of the Gospel).
Outside of her clinical work, Dee enjoys spending time at a local monastery, tending to her many houseplants, playing guitar, and taking long walks with her dog, Max.
