Medical Billing and Claims Specialist, telecommute or in-person

Job Description

Large multi-state telehealth company is seeking a medical billing and claims specialist. Experience in the Kareo practice management tool is beneficial but not required.

Required Duties

Timely submission of ERA
Investigating outstanding claims
Strict monitoring of insurance appeals, rejections and denials
Answer patient inquiries regarding patient statements via phone and email
Work with reports for follow-up to reduce A/R
Work with a committed billing team and attend regular virtual meetings
Complete outstanding EDI enrollments
Initial emphasis will be on cleaning up old A/R and addressing rejections and denials
Certified in billing and coding

Hours / Salary

This is a 1099 contracted position, at least 20 hours per week. Additional hours may be available. Our main office is located in Stamford, Connecticut, although we will consider candidates that are only available to work remotely. Competitive reimbursement, negotiable.
