Dr. Cami Jo earned a bachelor’s degree in Theology/Psychology and Nursing. Upon completing the Master of Science in Nursing, she became a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2013, and became a Doctor of Advanced Nursing Practice in 2020. She is the founder and director of the Hesed Health Clinic, a nonprofit charitable medical clinic in Gregg County, Texas.

Natural family planning should be covered pre-deductible and without co-pay in accordance with the Affordable Care Act, equal to birth control coverage, as long as you see a MyCatholicDoctor medical provider that is in network with your insurance and get a referral to a MyCatholicDoctor NFP instructor. Your insurance plan may also require you to obtain a PCP referral. Unfortunately, many insurance carriers inappropriately apply co-pay and deductible for NFP, and inappropriately deny claims. MyCatholicDoctor is fighting this at many levels. If you are billed a co-pay or deductible, or your claim is denied, please contact your insurance company.
