About Me

Dr. Ropp is a Pediatrician who sees patients from birth to adolescence, providing care for all general pediatric and adolescent medical needs. Her passions include newborn care, lactation support and education, an interest in Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF-1), nutrition and wellness through a faith based philosophy, and applying her osteopathic medical training to provide a “whole-body” approach to treatment and care.

Dr. Ropp is a Board Certified Pediatrician. She is a follower of Christ, wife, and mother of 5. She loves baking with Einkorn, hiking, photography, art, and spending time with her family.

My journey to pediatrics began at a young age in my hometown of Jacksonville, FL. I obtained my undergraduate degree at the University of Florida in Chemistry followed by my medical degree at Nova Southeastern University in south Florida. I completed pediatric residency training at the University of Florida – Jacksonville where I developed my passion for newborn care to include lactation education and support, as well as an interest in Neurofibromatosis. It was here I completed a research study focusing on methods to increase breastfeeding rates which I went on to present at the AAP National Conference and ABM International Conference. After a short 2 year stent in Pensacola, FL as a US Navy wife and practicing Pediatric Hospitalist followed by 3 years practicing as a Newborn Hospitalist at one of Portland, Oregon’s largest children’s hospitals, my family settled down in southwest Virginia where we continue to raise our growing family. My faith and love for family has led me to homeschool my children, and MyCatholicDoctor has given me the opportunity to continue practicing medicine with a faith-based foundation.
