About Dr. Armengol

Dr. Armengol is a physical therapist and a mother of two teenage girls. She currently resides in Florida’s Tampa Bay area. As a former body builder and triathlete, she remains a fitness enthusiast and loves to instill that desire in others.

Dr. Armengol graduated with a Bachelor in Communications from Virginia Tech; a Master of Exercise Physiology from Florida State University; a Master in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine, Florida; and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University.

Dr. Armengol is a Pediatric Certified Specialist, an APTA Certified Clinical Instructor, and a Functional Dry Needling Certified Specialist. She founded T.E.A.M. Kids, P.C., a multidisciplinary pediatric home health therapy agency in Gilbert, Arizona. Her special interests are orthopedics/sports rehabilitation, wellness/prevention, geriatrics, and early intervention. She enjoys working with individuals of all abilities across the life span. She is also an adjunct faculty at A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ.

With almost 25 years of experience working in a number of settings including home health, outpatient, telehealth and academic institutions; as well as working with a wide range of age groups, she recognizes the growing need for quality providers who are knowledgeable, accessible, genuinely compassionate, culturally competent and faith-based.

Services Offered

Physical Therapy services are offered to all age groups. In-person visits are available to those who live locally.

  • Conduct a comprehensive evaluation to determine areas of impairments and functional/performance deficits.
  • Design and implement an individualized treatment plan with established patient-centered goals and objectives.
  • Design, instruct, and monitor patient and/or caregivers on a treatment plan geared towards achieving outcomes.
  • Develop, instruct, and monitor (if desired) patient and/or caregivers in a home exercise program for carryover and self-management.
  • Ensure that patients receive all necessary adaptive equipment including orthotics and other mobility devices.
  • Conduct 30-day re-evaluation to assess progress: performance, response to intervention, and continued therapy need on an ongoing basis.
  • Consult with patient, family/caregivers, and other involved health professionals.
  • Advocate for patient and family/caregiver to ensure needs are met.
  • Educate patient and/or family/caregiver about their functional deficits, diagnosis, and disabilities.
  • Discharge patient when appropriate and establish a discharge plan to promote ongoing patient success.Health and Wellness Coaching
  • Provide fitness assessments (body type, muscle/strength testing, weight to height body mass index, cardiovascular fitness testing)
  • Offer individualized nutritional counseling including meal plans
  • Establish individual exercise programs tailored to meet the goals/needs of each consumer

Dr. Armengol specializes in evaluating and treating a wide variety of physical dysfunctions, orthopedic injuries, post-operative conditions, generalized wellness/prevention, sports rehabilitation, geriatric challenges, and motor developmental delays. She is certified in functional dry needling.
